Food & Beverage Manager
Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all dining, bar, banquet, and catering operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role manages daily operations, staff performance, financial goals, and service standards while maintaining a high level of hospitality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee all food and beverage outlets including restaurants, bars, and private events
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations with a strong focus on service excellence
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of food, beverages, and supplies
Guest Experience
- Deliver a high-quality, memorable dining experience for all guests and members
- Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor during service to engage with guests
Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and service staff
- Create staff schedules based on business needs and labor budgets
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching
Financial Management
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
- Monitor revenue, labor costs, and profitability of all F&B operations
- Implement strategies to increase sales and improve efficiency
- Oversee billing, cash handling, and POS systems
Event & Banquet Oversight
- Coordinate with sales and event teams to execute private events and functions
- Ensure all event details are executed to the highest standard
- Manage staffing and logistics for weddings, corporate events, and social functions
Menu & Beverage Program
- Collaborate with culinary teams on menu development and pricing
- Oversee beverage programs including wine, cocktails, and bar offerings
- Ensure consistency in presentation, quality, and portion control
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food and beverage management or hospitality leadership
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Experience in private clubs, luxury hospitality, or event-driven venues
- Knowledge of POS systems and event management software
