Job Summary:
A Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to the restaurant’s recipes, standards, and quality expectations. They work on a specific station (grill, sauté, fry, etc.) and ensure food is prepared efficiently, safely, and consistently during service.

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, butchering, sauce preparation and portioning
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen team
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Monitor inventory and communicate shortages to kitchen leadership
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Clean up station and kitchen area at the end of shifts
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Good communication, collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach and move in a constantly changing environment, carry and lift up to 50 lbs,
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other government standards
- Previous kitchen experience preferred (but not always required)
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Exposure to heat, sharp tools, and kitchen equipment
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts required
Education & Experience:
- Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Food Service Handlers Certificate that is currently valid. Company training required as well
- 2+ year of full service restaurant experience preferred
